Our fabrics
Comfort starts with what a fabric is made of.
Most of what we make begins as wood. Lenzing, a fibre maker in Austria, turns it into the soft, fluid fibres behind our jersey tops, our Harper knit, our Alessia dress and our new Ravello trouser. We chose them for how they feel against your skin at the end of a long day, and for how they are made. Here is what that means, in plain terms.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose
The jersey behind Aimee, Nico and Vivienne.
ECOVERO™ is Lenzing's own viscose. It is fluid and soft, with a weight that falls away from the body rather than clinging to it. Our jersey tops are knitted from it in Portugal, with a little elastane so they keep their shape wash after wash.
What sets it apart from ordinary viscose is how it is made. The wood comes from certified or controlled forests. Making it uses less water and releases less carbon. And every fibre carries a marker, so it can be identified all the way from the forest to the finished top.

TENCEL™ lyocell and Lenzing modal
Smooth, cool to the touch, and made to last.
Our Harper knit is 100% lyocell. So is the chambray Alessia dress, and the navy Alessia pairs it with linen. More of our new styles are made from it too. Lyocell is a wood-based fibre, made by Lenzing under the TENCEL™ name. It feels silky, falls away from the body rather than following it, and washes at 30 degrees.
It is made in a closed loop, where more than 99.8% of the solvent is recovered and used again. It takes up moisture and lets it go, so it stays comfortable on the mornings you run warm and the evenings that turn cool.
Its sibling, Lenzing modal, goes into our new MELYRFLEX Ravello trouser, blended with cotton. Modal is known for its softness, and it keeps it wash after wash.

Cupro and ECOVERO™ viscose
A silky fabric with a quiet sheen.
Our Sorrento shirt and Portofino trouser are made in Turkey from a blend of cupro and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose. Cupro is a regenerated fibre made from cotton linter, the fine fluff left on cotton seeds once the longer fibres have been spun. ECOVERO™ brings the drape, with a lower footprint than ordinary viscose.
Together they feel close to silk and cool against the skin, with a multi-tone sheen that shifts in the light. It is the fabric we chose for the days already circled on the calendar.
What we're still working on
Our jersey tops include a small amount of elastane. It is what lets a top recover its shape after a long day, but it is not biodegradable. We would rather tell you that than leave it out.
