The trouser you put on in the morning and don't think about again.

The hidden inner MELYRFLEX wasitband, in sweat wicking performance fabric that holds firm through the middle, sits flat, and doesn't roll down when you sit. Soft pleats cover it from waist to hip, so there's nothing is on show. Nothing digs. Nothing needs adjusting.

The fabric is luxurious modal, cotton and elastane. Light, opaque, and soft in a way you'll notice immediately. It moves when you move - sit, stretch, reach, in and out of a car all day, and there's a faint sheen to it that lifts the whole look come evening.

Feels like your favourite yoga pants. Smart enough to take you from desk to dinner.

Cupro, sometimes called "vegan silk," is a regenerated cellulose fabric. Rather than coming from the cotton plant itself, it's made from cotton linter: the fine, silky fibres that cling to cottonseeds and were traditionally discarded as waste, which makes cupro an upcycled material by nature. The linter is dissolved using copper and ammonia to produce a breathable, hypoallergenic fabric that resists static and has a fluid, silk-like drape.

The Portofino trouser is elasticated at the back of the trouser, so will stretch and flex to your waist. We recommend you take your usual size.

Not at all, the waistband is elasticated and is perfect for evenings or special occassions. If you've given up on tailored trousers because they dig in by 3pm, this is the pair you've been waiting for.

Portofino can be machine washed at 30 degrees. To ensure the fabric keeps its lustre, we recommend hand-washing or dry cleaning where possible.

Choose Try Before You Buy at checkout and we place a hold on your card for the full amount — nothing is taken. You've got 3 days from delivery to try them properly: sit down, walk around, wear them for a real afternoon. Tell us what's staying through the link in your confirmation email, and we'll charge you for those only. Everything else goes back with the prepaid label already in the box. Returning the lot carries a small £6 restocking fee. Card payments only, since the hold needs a real card behind it.
